James McElroy (Jim) was born in Baltimore, but raised in Cheektowaga, NY. Immediately after high school, he served in the U.S. Army for four years before returning home to attain a B.A. in Journalism from Buffalo State College.
Jim has worked in the insurance claims industry since 1984 and is currently employed by Seidel Claims Service, Glens Falls, NY, as an independent adjuster. He is actively involved in the New York Association of Independent Adjusters, Inc., where he is a member of the Executive Committee.
Over the years (and not including military duty stations), Jim has lived in Morris, NY, Cheektowaga, NY, Agawam, MA, Springfield, MA, San Jose, CA, Henrietta, NY, Saratoga Springs, NY, and Gansevoort, NY (in that order).
A member of the Saratoga Springs Lions Club since 2017, Jim serves on several club committees. He especially enjoys participating in the Saratoga Stars ice skating program during the winter months.
In his spare time, Jim enjoys reading, cycling, ice skating and traveling to the Atlanta area to visit his daughters and grandson.
Currently, Mr. McElroy serves as a Board Member of Camp Abilities Saratoga.
