David R. Carr, Jr. is a 1978 graduate of Saratoga Springs High School and earned a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from Syracuse University and the SUNY College of Environmental Science & Forestry in 1983.
Dave has worked in the field of Landscape Architecture for over 40 years and is currently Principal and President of the LA Group in Saratoga Springs.
Dave currently resides in Saratoga Springs with his wife, Donna. Dave has been very involved in the Saratoga community over the years. Dave has been a member of the Saratoga Lions Club for over 30 years, serving as Club President twice and is the current Club Secretary. In addition, Dave has served as; President of the Saratoga Lions Foundation, President of the Saratoga Springs Youth Soccer Club, Board Member of the Saratoga History Museum, Member of the Veterans Community and Housing Coalition Building Committee, Board Member of the St. Clements Church Building and Grounds Committee and Member of the Saratoga Springs Affordable Housing Trust Fund Committee. Dave has also coached youth soccer at the club level for several years.
Dave is a Lions Club Melvin Jones Fellow, awarded for outstanding service to the Saratoga Springs Community and has been awarded the Robert J. Uplinger distinguished Service Award and is a Bronze Lion.
Currently, Dave serves as Secretary of Camp Abilities Saratoga.
