James P. Edwards is a resident of Saratoga Springs, New York. He has recently retired. Previously, he was employed by Ai Squared of Manchester Center, VT. as a Senior Software and Systems Engineer. AI Squared was a world leader in the field of screen magnification and screen reading software for use by the blind and visually impaired. Joining Ai Squared in 1994, Mr. Edwards was responsible for software development as well as new screen reading related product research and definition.
Prior to his employment at AI Squared, Mr. Edwards was a Senior Software Engineer at Iconics, Inc. in Foxborough, MA. Iconics, Inc. is an industry innovator in the field of PC based process control. Previous employers include Telco Systems (Norwood, MA), LFE Corp. (Clinton, MA), the Foxborough Company (Foxborough, MA) and IBM (Poughkeepsie, NY).
Mr. Edwards holds a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Clarkson University.
Mr. Edwards is a charter member of the Medway Lions Club (Medway, MA) and is a current member of the Saratoga Springs Lions Club. Jim has over 40 years of service as a Lion. Between the two clubs, he has held positions of secretary, treasurer and board member. He has received a number of prestigious Lions awards including the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award, the Robert Uplinger Award as well as Lion of the Year at both clubs.
Currently Mr. Edwards serves as the President of Camp Abilities Saratoga, Inc.
