Edward Stano, Jr. was born and raised in New Jersey. He graduated from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and sailed as an engineer on U.S. merchant ships. He then worked as an operating engineer for Knolls Atomic Power Lab at their West Milton facility. Upon leaving Knolls, he started his own security alarm business from which he retired after 38 years.
Ed is a 30 year Lion and a charter member of the Town of Greenfield Lions Club. He has held most club offices, several district level positions and served as District Governor, 2009-2010.
He presently serves as a Trustee on the New York State & Bermuda Lions Foundation, District Coordinator for Lions Clubs International Foundation and member of the Lions Multiple District Finance Committee. He is also a 20 + year member of the Franklin Community Center Board of Directors.
Ed has also served on many committees at his church as well as participating in many ministries.
Currently, Ed serves as a Board Member of Camp Abilities Saratoga.
